In 1930, the first goal in World Cup history was scored by Lucien Laurent of France. That was eighty years ago. Just a few days ago, the United States accomplished something that hadn’t been done in the World Cup in over 50 years- staying alive past the first round.
And guess what, we’re proud. You can call us fair weather fans, but in the name of “fairness” that is not really so. We just haven’t had the opportunity to prove ourselves. Now, we have. So guess what? It’s all out world cup mania- more than usually here in Miami so you’re probably wondering where the best place is to check out the games- no worries, we’ve got you covered- check out these great places scoped out by our friends at the Miami Herald.
